UNDONE DEEDS -- a little more info.....

The next Connor Grey is coming out January 31, 2012---two weeks away! As usual with these things, a few copies are already popping up here and there, which always fascinates me. How do people get them before I do???

Here’s the back copy from the book:

Connor Grey, a druid consultant for the Boston P.D., usually helps the cops solve their “strange” cases, but now he’s the suspect in the midst of one. Wrongly accused of a terrorist act that rocked the city to its core, Connor evades arrest by going underground, where rumors of war are roiling. A final confrontation between the Celtic and Teutonic fey looks inevitable—with Boston as the battlefield.

Undercover agents are turning up dead in the Weird—their murders brushed aside and ignored—and Connor exposes a citywide conspiracy of silence that seems linked to the inexorable march to war. As he digs deeper into the mysterious deaths, Connor draws closer to the secrets of a past he has sought for so long. And as friends and allies abandon him one by one, Connor discovers that in the clash between light and dark, and in the face of a cataclysm of epic proportions, he might have to make the ultimate sacrifice to save the world.

UNDONE DEEDS is the sixth book in the series. I’m pretty excited about it because Answers Will Be Revealed. This book is the culmination of the series arc I’ve been working on from the beginning. I think most of the major questions people have had are answered here, maybe not in the way some people hoped, and, of course, a few things are left mysterious. But for the most part, this has been the story I wanted to tell.

Which is not to say the world of Connor Grey is finished. I think readers know I made the Convergent World a pretty big place with a huge cast of characters. I’ve told only one person’s story. Will there be more? *shrug* That’s up to Ace Books thinks about where I want to take things next.

And, of course, you guys. One of the greatest pleasures of writing is sharing the world you create. I’ve been honored and flattered and humbled by reader reaction so far. I hope I don’t disappoint you all.

  1. I was so pleased to hear that another Connor Grey story was being released! Anxiously waiting for the Kindle pre-order link to be available on Amazon so that I can get it on release day. :-) Thank you for sharing these stories. Connor is a wonderfully flawed character who seems to become a better person as the series progress.

  2. I am anxious to read the next installment of Connor's story, but I hope this isn't the end! I'm currently on "Uncertain Allies" on another read-through of the series in anticipation of the next book coming out. This has definitely been one of my favorite series for the past several years. Are there any plans for more Laura Blackstone novels? Is this the last we will see of Connor and Leo? I hope not! Thank you for sharing your wonderful world with us, and I hope you continue to tell more stories for us to enjoy for years to come!

  6. I've just finished reading Undone Deeds. Now that I've stopped crying, I hope there will be more. I admit to still being confused about "Who" and I won't say more because I don't want it to be spoiled for others. But I'm not sure I understand the who and how just yet.

Please continue the story. I love Conner and Leo so much. And I should love to read more about Joe, too. Please don't leave this wonderful world of characters for too many new ones until there is yet more resolution. Oh, I know the Way of the Wheel, but don't let it bring too much change too fast, please?

And thank you for such a marvelous series.

  7. I'm about halfway through, and enjoying the ride every bit as much as the previous books. However, I'm having a hard time keeping track of some of the characters' names being tossed about. A number of the names are people that are barely making appearances, yet they're each a piece on the ever evolving chess board. Any chance of getting a wiki started, or a list of characters at the end of future books?

  8. Congrats on your sixth Connor book! I had this pre-ordered as of last year but I didn't get around to reading it till yesterday. Oh...my...gosh! *sob* You're killing me here! *grin* But don't get me wrong, I absolutely love, love, loved it! I finished it last night and couldn't get to sleep for about 3 hours afterward, my mind was racing so badly over everything that led up to the revelation at the end of the book! Thanks for the fantastic series arc! More, please! :)

  9. I'm so very excited and yet sad about Connor's story! I really love him as a male protagonist and would like to see more from his point of view but I am, admittedly, a greedy reader. Thank you so much for so many excellent books!

    1. I don't know how i hadn't found this series before now, but a friend gave me a copy of the first book, and i was immediately hooked. sadly, Life and Money mean that i was only able to order Undone Deeds [and the two Laura books] a few days ago.
i was looking for more books, by you - and hopefully in this series/world.
it seems you haven't anything coming out since this book. this makes me sad. because i love the world, and i hope you write more in it [soon]
specifically, of course, i love Conner and Murdock [and Joe and Myrna and Bree and Dylan - MORE DYLAN please, he deserves his OWN book or three, doncha think? pleasepleaseplease?]

but even if it's not in THIS world, i hope you do write more. i've become very enamoured of your writing [and Urban Fantasy in general, which is weird. i'm a sci-fi girl, i grew up on Heinlein. not that he never delved into UF, but it's only been in the past few years that UF became something i read - so the fact that i did NOT order the latest Honor Harrington book, so that i could order this and the two Laura books? that tells you something. not sure exactly what, but SOMETHING *G*]

thank you so very much for writing them!
